Congratulations to the Winners of the Merton Best Business Awards 2024!

We are delighted to extend our heartfelt congratulations to all the winners of the Merton Best Business Awards 2024, which took place last Thursday at a dazzling Bollywood-themed ceremony at AFC Wimbledon. The event, hosted by Merton Chamber of Commerce, was a spectacular celebration of business excellence across a range of categories, including the Independent Business Award, Best Customer Service, Sustainable Impact, and Best New Business.

As proud sponsors of the Business Leader of the Year category, we at andrew scott robertson were thrilled to see so many businesses recognised for their outstanding contributions. A particular highlight of the night was Polka Theatre, who stole the show, winning both the ‘Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Award’ and the ‘Sustainable Impact Award,’ before being crowned Best Business in Merton! Their dedication to creating a positive impact, both environmentally and within their local community, is truly inspiring.

Lynette Shanbury, Executive Director/Joint CEO of Polka Theatre, expressed her gratitude: “The last few years for Polka have been a real rollercoaster, but to come out the other side tonight and win three awards means so much. We really appreciate this recognition; it means the world to us. Thank you to the judges and to all the other finalists who are all amazing.”

Charlotta Harbour, CEO of Merton Chamber of Commerce, also commended the winners, saying: “Local businesses are setting a fantastic example of what it means to be responsible, innovative, and forward-thinking. We were so inspired by this business’s dedication to sustainability and their positive impact, both locally and globally.
